Description

This is a vintage Louis XV style fauteuil (armchair) featuring a solid wood frame finished in a distressed, light pinkish-beige wash. The chair has a curved, cartouche-shaped backrest, padded armrests (manchettes) with scrolled terminals, and cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. The seat, backrest, and arm pads are upholstered in a thick, textured damask or tapestry-style fabric featuring a symmetrical medallion pattern in muted shades of beige, tan, and brown. Delicate hand-carved floral and foliage motifs decorate the center of the front apron, the top crest of the backrest, and the knees of the front legs. 39h x 25w x 21d
