8807 19th-Century Continental Walnut and Burl Three-Drawer #Commode with Marble Top

A 19th-century Continental chest of drawers crafted in walnut with richly figured burl walnut drawer reserves. The commode is fitted with an overhanging white and soft-grey veined marble slab top with an eased edge. The facade features three full-width drawers flanked by subtle pilaster transitions and divided by a central waist molding. Each drawer face displays two recessed rectangular burl-veneered panels, cast metal drop-ring handles on geometric openwork backplates, and a central carved shield-form wooden escutcheon. The interior of the top drawer features wooden storage dividers. Supported by a molded plinth base terminating in low block feet. Condition is very good antique condition, exhibiting minor seam separation beneath the marble lip, slight age-related wood movement, and minor interior cosmetic staining. 29.5h x 46w x 20d
