This is a small-scale wooden storage bench featuring a deep forest green or charcoal painted finish with significant surface distressing. The backrest is designed with a scalloped crest rail and a central incised heart carving. The front panel features a larger central heart flanked by trailing vine and leaf motifs, with a matching scalloped apron along the bottom edge. The seat is hinged with two metal butterfly-style hinges, opening to reveal a shallow internal storage compartment. The underside of the lid is reinforced with three vertical wooden battens. The bench is supported by solid side panels that terminate in simple bootjack-style feet.
