This is a single vintage dining chair constructed from solid wood and finished with a later-applied white matte paint. The backrest features a distinctive tapered 'T-back' splat that is wide at the top rail and narrows as it meets the seat frame. The top rail has a gentle upward curve. The seat is square-fronted with rounded corners and is upholstered in a non-original tapestry-style fabric featuring a dense floral pattern of large-scale roses and peonies in shades of coral, burgundy, and golden-yellow on a cream background. The chair is supported by four tapered legs; the front legs are straight while the rear legs are slightly canted outward for stability.
